Dull Pain Above Waist Left Side Back

CARCINOMA SQUAMOCELLULARE

Squamous cell carcinoma, or squamocellulre, is a malignant tumor arising from epidermal keratinocytes, and can, albeit rarely, to give metastases.
Its frequency is certainly underestimated, being about 8 times more frequent than the melanoma, which is the fourth most common tumor in humans.
The risk factors are: the natural ultraviolet radiation (sunlight) and artificial (tanning beds), light phototype (skin clear, blue eyes, freckles) late middle age.
Other predisposing factors are environmental, such as smoke, tar, oil, mineral oil, arsenic, ionizing radiation, and individual, as immunosuppressive therapy (eg chemotherapy), radiation and some genetic diseases (albinism). There are also some pre-existing skin diseases predisongono the development of cancer, such as chronic ulcers, the radiodermatitis, lichen sclero-atrophic and infection by particular strains of human papilloma virus.
In most cases however, the squamous cell carcinomas on exposed skin is created from scratch or from above degenrazione an actinic keratosis. Clinically
manifests as a lesion detected on the surface of the skin, reddish-brown, sometimes crusty to the touch, which in time becomes larger, more recognized, ulcerated and bleeding. In any development visible on the skin surface, a corresponding increase in depth of the tumor.
The treatment of choice is radical surgical removal of cancer in the outpatient setting. The lesion thus removed is then sent to histopathology for histological examination. This question is crucial not only for the definite diagnosis of the disease, also know the depth of the tumor. This will provide information by which you can decide if surgical excision was decisive (there will therefore need to do something else) or if instead, you will have to make a second interent enlargement and radiological study of the lymph nodes and other parts of the body to rule out any metastases.
E 'always having to be recalled, the standpoint of prevention, especially in susceptible individuals, the importance of proper sun exposure and regular check of your skin by a specialist.
